ヘンマンラケット
先日ウィンブルドンでヘンマンが1回戦から
Ｃ・モヤとフルセットというアツいゲームがあったのはご存知でしょうか？
[ﾆｭｰｽ]ベテランが熱い! ヘンマン死闘の末モーヤを下す
ヘンマンがかろうじて勝ったようです。
なんとなく数年前、引退間近のクーリエを思い出します。
（ホントなんとなくです。）
この試合の詳細に関しては今日、先にあげましたブログにも書いてますし
彼の年齢についても先日、書いてますので特筆しませんが
今回は彼のラケットについて調子こいて少し。
ヘンマンが現在使っているラケット
ワタシも今回初めて聞くメーカーです。
写真 をみるとどかでみたことがあるマーク。
頭にすぐ思いついたのはそう、プーマ。
プーマといえば“エスチューサということで少し調べましたが全くの別物のようですね
ちなみにベッカーご愛用のラケットエスチューサは現在、プーマとは関係が
完全に切れているようです。（これはまた別の話･･･）
プーマではなく、あくまでもスラセンジャー。
スラセンジャーはイギリスの会社でウッドラケット時代に
一世風靡し、今はラケットこそヘンマンしか使っていませんが、
同社のボールは今でもウィンブルドンの公式球だそうです。
日本では殆ど販売しているところはないようで
上記リンク、もしくは中古くらいしかないようです。
で、ヘンマンは当初ウィルソンのラケットを使っていたようですが
このラケットに変えてから頭角を現したためか、
それからずっとこのラケットを愛用しているそうです。
ヘンマンファンはきっとご苦労なさっていると思うと、同情します。

確かにマークは似てますが、明らかに別メーカーです。
スラセンジャーは、私がまだ学生で硬式を始めた頃（約３０年前）は最も有名なボールでした。
当然、ラケットもね。
その当時は、カワサキ、フタバヤ、ウィルソン、スラセンジャーとかですか。
今は、スラセンジャーの日本正規代理店が無いそうです。だから店頭で見かけないんでしょうね。
ボリスベッカーは、今、ボルクルじゃないですか？
（オーナーとか何か関係有った記憶が）
確かに、エスチューサには昔のベッカーモデルが沢山有りますね。

壁にロゴが入っているのに気づきました。
テニス界には他にもこういった日本では無名に近いメーカーが多そうですね。
